You will assist in performing simulations, analysing waveforms, and generating technical reports to ensure our products meet strict signal quality and power delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Simulation Support: Assist senior engineers in setting up and running Pre-layout and Post-layout simulations for high-speed interfaces (e.g., DDR, PCIe, USB).
- Power Integrity (PI) Analysis: Perform DC IR Drop analysis to identify voltage drops and current density hotspots on power planes.
- Signal Integrity (SI) Verification: Analyse Eye Diagrams, reflections, and crosstalk to ensure timing and voltage margins are met.
- Data Documentation: Extract simulation data and waveforms to create comprehensive Validation Reports for design reviews.
- PCB Review: Assist in reviewing Stackup designs and ensuring proper reference plane continuity for high-speed traces.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a B.E. / B.Tech in ECE or EEE (Final or Pre-final year).
- Circuit Fundamentals: Strong grasp of Transmission Line Theory, Ohm’s Law, and Passive Component (R, L, C) behaviour at high frequencies.
- PCB Awareness: Basic understanding of PCB Fabrication, including layers, vias, and the importance of controlled impedance.
- Simulation Tools: Hands-on experience with any SPICE-based circuit simulator (e.g., LTspice, PSpice, or TINA-TI).
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
- Familiarity with PCB design tools like Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or KiCad.
- Basic understanding of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) concepts.
- Proficiency in Excel or MATLAB for data plotting and analysis.
