Key Responsibilities
- Perform component derating analysis as per applicable standards
- Conduct Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA)
- Analyze electrical stresses (voltage, current, power, temperature)
- Review schematics, PCB layouts, and system diagrams
- Support component selection with appropriate derating margins
- Perform simulations and reliability assessments
- Participate in design reviews and identify risks
- Conduct failure analysis and RCA
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electronic components (Diodes, MOSFETs, capacitors, resistors, inductors, op-amps)
- Good understanding of power, analog, and digital electronics
- Expertise in derating analysis and reliability principles
- Experience in WCCA
- Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts
Hands-on Experience
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Clamp meter, Load bank, Power supplies)
Preferred
- Experience with simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB)
- Familiarity with derating standards (MIL-STD, ECSS, IEC)
- Background in high-reliability industries
- Knowledge of thermal analysis and reliability prediction
Experience
- Typically 3–10 years in relevant domain
