Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and study state-of-the-art methods in robotics, control, estimation and simulation.
- Benchmark different approaches using simulations and available datasets.
- Develop comparison reports and support recommendations of suitable algorithms and architectures.
- Develop robotics software modules using Python / C / C++.
- Implement and test control algorithms such as PID, LQR and MPC as applicable.
- Work on sensor signal-processing pipelines including filtering, detection and feature extraction.
- Analyse simulation and test logs and support controller tuning.
- Work with ROS / ROS2 for robot integration, nodes, topics, services and actions.
- Work with URDF/Xacro, TF/TF2 and RViz/RViz2 for robot modelling and debugging.
- Support robotics simulation using Gazebo and related simulation tools.
- Participate in AUV/ROV deployment, testing and field trials where required.
- Prepare test plans, analyse data/logs, document findings and close technical action items.
- Contribute to technical documentation, reports and research activities.

Required Skills
Must Have
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python / C / C++
- Good understanding of robotics and autonomous systems
- Fundamentals of control systems
- Good mathematical/problem-solving skills
- Understanding of linear algebra, kinematics and coordinate frames
- Ability to analyse technical information and research papers
- Good technical writing and documentation skills
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability
Good to Have
ROS / ROS2, Gazebo, MATLAB / Simulink, PID / LQR / MPC, Signal processing, Sensor fusion, SLAM / navigation, Computer vision, AUV / ROV / UAV projects, Git / software development practices
Education
- B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech / M.E
- Preferred specialisations: Robotics, Mechatronics, ECE, EEE, CSE, Mechanical or related disciplines
- Freshers and final-year students are encouraged to apply.
