This internship offers hands-on exposure to converter design, hardware development, and laboratory validation, making it ideal for students passionate about electrical systems and modern power electronics applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of power electronic circuits such as DC–DC converters, inverters, and rectifiers.
- Perform simulation and modeling using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or LTspice.
- Support electrical analysis of components, circuits, and system-level performance.
- Collaborate on PCB design and layout for power electronics hardware.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of prototypes in a lab environment.
- Document design workflows, test methodologies, experimental data, and prepare clear technical reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Pursuing M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of power electronics fundamentals—switching devices, converters, inverter topologies, magnetics, etc.
- Hands-on familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or LTspice.
- Basic knowledge of control systems and embedded programming (C/C++).
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Exposure to power semiconductor devices, gate drivers, and thermal considerations.
- Experience with hardware testing, oscilloscopes, power analysers, and other lab instruments.
- Understanding of PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, Or CAD).
