The chip has successfully completed silicon bring up, a critical stage in semiconductor validation, and is being prepared for commercial fabrication at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. The company expects volume production to begin in 2027.

Targeting applications such as smart surveillance cameras, intelligent video gateways, and edge AI systems, the SoC integrates multiple specialised processing engines on a single chip. These include an in house neural processing unit (NPU), vision processing unit (VPU), image signal processor (ISP), cryptographic engines, and other hardware acceleration blocks required for real time AI workloads.

A key differentiator is Netrasemi’s patented heterogeneous graph stream parallel processing architecture, which is designed to improve AI inference efficiency while maintaining low power consumption. The architecture is intended for space constrained and cost sensitive edge devices where cloud connectivity, power budgets, and processing resources are limited.

The company plans to share the chip design with selected OEM partners for joint development programmes aimed at creating commercial products based on the platform. According to Netrasemi, the device will enable developers to run advanced AI algorithms directly on edge hardware, reducing dependence on cloud processing and lowering system latency.

Commenting on the launch, Jyothis Indirabhai, Co founder and CEO of Netrasemi, says, “It is extremely important that Indian companies manufacturing products such as cameras, robots and low-cost IoT devices get early access to intelligent and cost-effective chips so they can develop their products faster. India’s ecosystem is more suited for product development; however, start-ups and governments often focus on the services sector.”
