Touchless Hidden Switch For Invisible Installation

The Touchless Hidden Switch, which can be installed from behind without large mounting holes, ensures a seamless and invisible integration.

SCHURTER has launched the Touchless Hidden Switch (THS) that does not require large mounting holes and can be installed almost invisibly from behind. The company claims only a small user interface cutout is necessary, and the reliable Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor is integrated into the switch. A light source emits beams of light, which are then reflected by the surrounding environment. The ToF sensor captures the reflected light and calculates the distance using the constant speed of light and the measured transit time. This method ensures high precision in distance measurement.

According to the company’s claim, the Touchless Momentary (MO) push button is a versatile switch offering various features. It comes with multi color illumination, allowing for visually appealing effects. The button is designed with standard sensitivity, suitable for glass thicknesses of up to 2mm. Installation is quick and effortless, as it can be easily mounted behind various materials such as glass, plastic, wood, and metal. However, it requires a small viewing window to accommodate the sensor, ensuring accurate and reliable operation.

The product’s characteristics include its resistance to water and rain, making it suitable for outdoor use without being affected by the elements. Additionally, it provides area illumination, ensuring widespread and even lighting coverage. The switch is designed to be wearless, meaning it has no moving parts that can wear out over time, increasing its durability and lifespan. It is also tolerant to wiping, allowing for easy cleaning without causing any damage. The product features 3M Adhesive transfer tape 468MP to facilitate installation, providing a secure and reliable attachment to various surfaces.

This product’s Unique Selling Proposition (USP) lies in its ability to offer freedom in design. It allows users to unleash their creativity without limitations. Additionally, the installation of this product is invisible, meaning it can be seamlessly integrated into various settings without disrupting the aesthetic appeal. Moreover, the product boasts a small mounting depth, making it suitable for limited-space applications. These features make it a standout choice for those seeking a solution that combines design flexibility, discreet installation, and compact dimensions.
