AI Platform For Two-Wheeler EV Optimisation

India’s first AI defined two wheeler platform shifts vehicle intelligence from software updates to real time control of energy and materials.

As electric two wheelers integrate higher levels of electronics, software, and connectivity, manufacturers face rising complexity in managing performance, energy efficiency, thermal behaviour, and lifecycle reliability. Existing mechanically and software defined architectures limit how intelligence can actively optimise vehicle behaviour in real world conditions. This has increased demand for vehicle platforms where intelligence is embedded at the architectural level to manage complexity at scale.

MATTER has unveiled India’s first AI Defined Vehicle platform. The AIDV platform establishes intelligence as the primary control layer governing energy flow, material behaviour, and system level decision making, and serves as the foundation for a multi product roadmap spanning motorcycles and scooters over the next 36 to 48 months.

The platform is a domain integrated hardware, software, and compute architecture designed to continuously adapt vehicle behaviour over its lifecycle. Intelligence is embedded directly into motor control, battery management, thermal systems, and diagnostics, enabling real time optimisation rather than static, pre programmed behaviour. The AIDV architecture also allows systems to learn, predict degradation, and adjust operating parameters under real world riding conditions.

The platform builds on the company’s existing AERA architecture, which already operates as a software defined vehicle with OTA driven capability upgrades on unchanged hardware. The transition to AIDV extends this foundation by integrating intelligence into core control loops, enabling adaptive torque delivery, battery ageing management, thermal stress control, and predictive fault detection across the vehicle lifecycle.
