Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electronic components, products, and systems for various applications.
- Analyse and interpret data from electronic testing and simulations.
- Prepare and maintain technical drawings and specifications of electronic systems and devices.
- Oversee the manufacturing process for electronic components, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Work with software engineers to develop and integrate software and hardware components.
- Identify and resolve hardware-related issues and faults in a timely manner.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning or broken electronic equipment.
- Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repairs.
- Stay current with the latest developments in electronics engineering and industry trends.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and quality assurance personnel.
- Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
- Prepare technical reports and document project progress and status.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet customer specifications.
Job Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field is required. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in electronics design and development, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, devices, and systems.
- Hands-on experience with electronic testing and measurement tools.
- Proficiency in using CAD software for circuit design and simulation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations in electronics engineering.
- Adequate knowledge of reading technical designs and blueprints.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
