As an Audio Quality Assurance Engineer, you will drive QA activities for their audio products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and quality. You will play a critical role in the evaluation and validation processes during the development stages. This position requires a keen ear for audio quality, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End to End Audio QA activities, including comprehensive manual testing, to validate audio performance.
  • Utilise sophisticated and specialized audio measurement equipment to assess and ensure the quality of our audio systems.
  • Conduct active listening sessions to evaluate the audio quality of our devices and provide detailed feedback.
  • Create detailed test plans and strategies to guide the QA process throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Schedule, execute, and delegate test runs, ensuring thorough coverage and adherence to timelines.
  • File high-quality bug reports to facilitate efficient debugging and resolution of audio-related issues.
  • Actively manage and triage reported issues, participating in root cause analysis and defect resolution.
  • Use internal development tools to extract logs and other relevant data from systems under test.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of QA processes.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • Proven experience in audio quality assurance or a related field in a leading position.
  • Strong understanding of audio measurement and evaluation techniques.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen ear for audio quality.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with audio hardware and software development.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and scripting for test automation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of audio codecs, DSP, and related technologies.
