This AC/DC power supply combines a slim 2U step-shape design, wide AC input range, high efficiency, and flexible mounting options for building automation and industrial control applications.

RECOM has expanded its compact DIN rail power supply portfolio with the REFIN2U-S30, a 30W AC/DC converter designed for installations where enclosure space is at a premium. The new series targets flat-panel distribution boards used in home and building automation, industrial control systems, and other applications requiring reliable low-power DC supplies in a slim form factor.
Built around the company’s 2U step-shape mechanical concept, it measures only 36mm in width with overall dimensions of 93.5 × 35.5 × 58.5mm, allowing designers to maximise available panel space. The compact footprint makes it suitable for densely populated control cabinets and distribution boards.
The key features are:
- Spring-loaded push-in terminals for tool-free wiring
- Rear mounting flaps enable direct panel installation without a DIN rail
- Reinforced 4kVAC input-to-output isolation
- Certified as an LPS (Limited Power Source) with Class B EMC compliance
The power supply is offered in 12VDC and 24VDC output versions, delivering 30W continuous output power from a wide 85VAC to 305VAC input range, making it compatible with global mains supplies. Adjustable output ranges of 10.8V to 13.2VDC and 21.6V to 26.4VDC provide flexibility for different system requirements. Typical conversion efficiency reaches 90%, while no-load power consumption remains below 100mW, supporting energy-efficient system designs.
For simplified installation, it incorporates spring-loaded push-in terminals that accept both solid and stranded wires without requiring ferrules or tools. Rear mounting flaps also enable direct back-panel installation in any orientation, offering additional flexibility where DIN rail mounting is not available.
The unit operates at its full 30W rating across an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +55°C, with derated operation extending up to +90°C. Built-in protection features include short-circuit, over-current, and over-voltage protection with hiccup-mode auto recovery for improved system reliability.
Designed for industrial and building automation environments, it features 4kVAC reinforced isolation, supports OVC III operation up to 3000m altitude and OVC II up to 5000m, and complies with major international safety and EMC standards, making it suitable for integration into globally deployed equipment. The series is backed by a three-year warranty.
