Key Requirements:
- Identify global and domestic suppliers for specialized radio frequency, analog, and digital components.
- Evaluate supplier performance continuously based on quality, lead times, and technical support capabilities.
- Build a resilient network of alternative vendors to mitigate global supply chain disruptions.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with major semiconductor distributors and original component manufacturers.
- Negotiate volume-based discounts and secure long-term price agreements for high-value components.
- Drive continuous total cost of ownership reductions across the entire bill of materials.
- Manage purchase price variance to keep procurement costs aligned with company budgets.
- Analyze market trends to predict price fluctuations and execute forward-buying strategies when beneficial.
- Balance healthy inventory levels to prevent production downtime while minimizing holding costs.
- Effective management of obsolete components and ensure zero stock in inventory.
