Coto Technology, a provider of relays for switching and magnetic sensing solutions has released the new RedRock RR122-1A22-511 / 512 wafer-based TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) digital omnipolar sensor.

The RR122-1A22 TMR sensor features an operating frequency of 10 Hz, a voltage supply range of +1.7V to +5.5V and an extremely strong magnetic sensitivity (9 G or 0.9 mT). With a low current drain (75 nA) for an active magnetic sensor, the RR122-1A22 Series TMR sensor is suited for performing the ‘wake up’ or ‘turn on’ function for battery operated and power-sensitive applications.

The operating temperature range is from -40 degrees Celsius up to +85 degrees Celsius. An upgraded version providing high temperatures of up to +125 degrees Celsius is also present.

The Coto Technology RedRock® RR122-1A22-511 / 512 TMR Digital Magnetic Sensor is available through Coto’s distributors in either a tiny 1.4 x1.4x.45mm LGA-4 device package or an industry standard SOT-23-3 package. The device fits well into space-constrained applications such as insulin management, ingestible and implantable devices that all need to be hermetically sealed.
