Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar electric systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels, inverters, mounting hardware, and other components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels and electrical components.
- Connect solar electric systems to existing electrical systems, inverters, and grid connections.
- Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Complete necessary paperwork, documentation, and permit applications for solar installations.
- Educate customers about the operation, maintenance, and benefits of solar electric systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in electrical systems preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar electric system installation, maintenance, or related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, circuitry, and safety practices.
- Familiarity with solar energy principles, photovoltaic technology, and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
