As AI workloads increasingly move closer to the edge, developers and makers are looking for computing platforms that can deliver strong performance without relying on cloud connectivity. Applications such as computer vision, multimodal interaction, and on device AI inference demand low latency, data privacy, and consistent operation even in offline environments. M5Stack is addressing this need with the launch of its AI Pyramid series, a high performance edge AI PC designed for local AI inference and edge computing. The line-up includes two models, AI Pyramid and AI Pyramid Pro, both built to support AIPC, edge intelligent terminals, and smart interactive devices. At the core of the platform is the Axera AX8850 SoC, featuring an eight core Cortex A55 CPU paired with a 24 TOPS INT8 neural processing unit. This combination enables efficient handling of real time vision, speech, and language workloads while eliminating dependence on cloud based processing.

The system is designed to run AI inference entirely on device, helping ensure low latency response, improved data security, and stable offline operation. Its heterogeneous architecture allows parallel execution of multimodal AI tasks and supports deployment of mainstream models including transformers and large language models. Hardware accelerated video processing further extends its capabilities, enabling multi stream video decoding and analytics while maintaining reliable performance. Connectivity options such as dual Gigabit Ethernet, USB interfaces, and multimedia inputs and outputs allow the platform to integrate easily into diverse edge environments.
