AI workloads are slow, costly, and use much power. This processor improves performance, lowers energy use, secures data, and works from edge to server applications.

Organizations building AI systems face challenges in performance, cost, and energy efficiency. Running generative AI, computer vision, or multi-user inference often requires multiple devices or expensive hardware. Edge deployments struggle with size, power, and latency, while enterprise servers need high throughput without skyrocketing energy costs. Integrating AI workloads alongside other tasks can overload CPUs, complicate deployment, and raise total system cost. Security is another concern when handling sensitive data.
Axelera’s Europa AI processor addresses these problems. It is designed for organizations that need high AI performance in a compact, energy-efficient, and cost-effective package—whether for edge devices, humanoid robots, or enterprise servers. Europa combines AI acceleration, general-purpose processing, media decoding, and security in a single chip, reducing hardware complexity and enabling real-time processing of vision, speech, sensor, and language workloads.
Europa features eight second-generation AI cores with Digital In-Memory Compute (D‑IMC) technology and large vector engines, delivering up to 629 TOPS at INT8 precision. Two clusters of eight RISC-V vector cores handle non-AI tasks such as pre- and post-processing, with a peak of 4,915 GOPS. An integrated H.264/H.265 decoder offloads media workloads, freeing the host CPU. The processor includes 128MB of on-chip L2 SRAM and a 256-bit LPDDR5 interface providing 200GB/s bandwidth, which together remove memory bottlenecks and improve efficiency 3–5× compared to alternatives.
Europa supports multiple form factors and PCIe Gen4 x4 connectivity for flexible integration with edge and server systems. Built-in secure enclave technology protects sensitive workloads, while the Voyager SDK allows developers to deploy inference and other tasks without relying on external hardware, lowering total cost of ownership.
“Organizations shouldn’t have to choose between the raw compute power they want and the real-world usability they need,” said Fabrizio dzel Maffeo, CEO of Axelera. “Europa makes enterprise class AI processing power available to nearly anyone. From manufacturing automation to intelligent surveillance to autonomous systems, Europa enables the next generation of breakthrough AI applications without compromise, complexity or massive budgets. We’re changing the equation of what’s possible with AI at scale.”
