Your Contribution
- Application engineering tasks connected with the new projects (including clarification of customer technical requirements) and already running projects on the local market.
- Requirement management in the Application Life Cycle Management tool (i.e. Polarion).
- Preparing the software requirement document from the customer SoR and discussing with internal software development team.
- Engineering change request activity based on customer requirements.
- Preparing the motor controller test case to validate the software for the system release.
- Support on technical communication between the customer and the internal development team.
- Support of drive system setup at customer site, including parametrisation and drive system tuning.
- Participation and support at customers’ (lab and vehicle) testing during the design and product validation phase.
- Design of less complex customer dedicated test set-ups and testing of drive system.
- Investigation of drive system technical issue and provide the root cause analysis with solutions.
- Support on proto sample development.
- A collection of common technical information valid specifically for the local market.
- Promotion activities of MAHLE drive systems on the local market.
- Diagnosis for automotive traction drive systems and subsystems (e.g. inverter, E-motor, transmission, controls) with the application-/traction drive-SW and vehicle behavior (torque controls, …)
Your Experience and Qualifications
- B.E in Electrical and Electronics / Mechatronics / E&I with 2 – 5 years of experience in handling motors and controllers.
- Strong fundamental knowledge in the electrical and electronics domain with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Experience in power electronic design, circuit analysis, trouble shooting and problem solving.
Minimum Requirement
- Experience in the Polarion ALM platform is an added advantage or a similar Application life cycle management tool.
- Experience in motor controller system design, vehicle integration and harness/wiring troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience in communication protocol analysis tools i.e. Vector CANoe, PEAK-System, BUSMASTER, etc..
- Broad technical knowledge of the main elements for an electric vehicle motor controller.
- Experience in calibration of off-the-shelf motor and controller.
- Control engineering with the focus on control algorithms for an electric motor controller.
- Experience in vehicle communication and diagnostics with a focus on CAN, CAN UDS and SPI bus protocol.
- Embedded system hardware and software design is an added advantage.
- Understanding of electric vehicle control architecture.
- Experience in DC-DC converter, Battery Management System (BMS) and Vehicle Control Unit (VCU).
- Hands-on experience in measurement device i.e. Oscilloscope, function generator, power analyzer, DAQ, etc.
- Experience in motor control algorithm development (FOC, Trapezoidal, etc.,) is an added advantage.
- Working in BLDC and PMSM motor controller is an added advantage.
- Excellent problem definition and problem-solving techniques.
- Strong written and communication skills involve the ability to clearly and effectively convey information, ideas, and instructions through both written and verbal means.
