Key Responsibilities
- Develop a risk-based test strategy, plan test procedures, and author test cases based on PRD, Field Failures and DFMEA documents.
- Develop and Maintain Validation Test Plan for Motor and Controller systems.
- Provide expertise in regulatory compliance.
- To prioritise tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, component owners, product and quality assurance, to define test plans and acceptance criteria.
Ideal Candidate
- B.E/ B.Tech in EEE/ECE.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in the validation/testing environment.
- Conduct functional and performance tests on BLDC, PMSM or any other motor types.
- Measure, analyse, and share feedback on key parameters such as Torque, Speed, Efficiency, Faults and Thermal performance.
- Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system-level tests to validate motor-controller integration.
- Simulate real-world operating conditions for performance and Functionality validation.
- Ensure subsystems comply with industry standards.
- Solid understanding of the Powertrain system.
- Expertise in developing DVPs, giving design feedback, calculating/ developing reliability test profiles, and warranty analysis for Motor, Motor controller, Power converters and Embedded systems.
- Expertise in identifying risks in the system and feeding them to the CFTs and also suggest mitigation plans.
- Experience with using tools like multimeter, DSO, Logic analyzer, Function generator, Dyno test bench and Torque sensor.
- Familiar with Algorithm testing and SW testing.
- In-depth knowledge of Black box testing, SIL and HIL test platform & automotive communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, Flexray)
