Advanced coating, dispensing and automation technologies are taking centre stage. PVA is unveiling a new generation of high-performance systems with a focus on throughput, accuracy, and simplified maintenance. The latest platforms target electronics manufacturers seeking faster cycle times, tighter process control and reduced downtime across conformal coating, RTV staking and thermal interface material (TIM) applications.

The key features are:

  • High-speed gantry with up to 1g X/Y acceleration
  • Integrated fiducial vision and automated needle calibration
  • Continuous film thickness calibration with closed-loop pressure control
  • Combined dispense and pick-and-place automation capability
  • Low-pressure servo metering for cost-effective precision dispensing

A fully redesigned 3-axis coating system leads the showcase, engineered to deliver higher acceleration, improved structural rigidity and streamlined service access. Enhancements include a high-speed gantry, upgraded motors capable of reaching 1g acceleration in X and Y axes, and removable panels for faster maintenance. Despite the mechanical overhaul, the system retains its original work area and conveyor clearance, allowing easy integration into existing production lines.

Process control is strengthened through integrated fiducial vision, automated needle calibration and an automatic solvent refill system. A rotating film-coat valve, combined with continuous film calibration and closed-loop fluid pressure control, ensures consistent coating thickness and repeatable results, even in demanding applications.

Also featured is a 4-axis RTV staking platform designed for precise material placement, alongside a 3-axis TIM dispensing and pick-and-place system that combines fluid dispensing with component handling in a single automated cell. Both platforms leverage advanced path programming software to optimise motion control and maintain repeatability when processing medium- and low-viscosity materials.

A low-pressure servo metering rod rounds out the display, offering a cost-efficient solution for precision dispensing where reduced operating pressure is preferred. Together, the systems are aimed at electronics, automotive, medical and aerospace manufacturers looking to improve line efficiency while minimising service complexity.
