Product Design begins as a hypothetical concept. Transforming that concept into a functional Product is a highly creative and iterative process that requires a strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, physical constraints, and manufacturing realities.
For any hardware product, the PCB is the physical backbone that defines electrical performance, reliability, thermal behaviour, manufacturability, and ultimately the product’s form factor and cost. Component selection, placement, stack-up, routing strategy, and manufacturability constraints together determine whether a design remains a prototype or becomes a scalable product.
Engineering high-quality PCBs often requires going beyond standard reference designs and “thumb rules” — balancing signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal constraints, mechanical packaging, and manufacturing limitations.
Geographically, we operate in an ecosystem where component availability, fabrication capabilities, and assembly quality vary significantly. This requires continuous engagement withPCB manufacturers, assembly houses, component vendors, and test partners to ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and repeatable.
You will be responsible for the design, validation, and manufacturing readiness of PCBs used across our products. The Product Design team will be your internal customer.
Your Primary Contribution Will Be Toward
- Supporting CynLr’s Product Design team with all Schematic, Layout, Library management and hardware development
- Translating system-level and schematic designs into production-ready PCB layouts.
- Defining board stack-ups, layer counts, and material selections based on electrical and mechanical requirements.
- Performing component placement and routing with focus on SI, PI, EMI/EMC, thermal, and mechanical constraints.
- Preparing and releasing manufacturing and assembly documentation for prototype and production builds.
- Verification & Validation (V&V)
- Supporting electrical bring-up and validation of manufactured PCBs.
- Debugging board-level issues in collaboration with system and firmware teams.
- Interfacing with PCB manufacturers, assembly vendors, and component suppliers to ensure successful execution and timely delivery
- Acting as the PCB design knowledge base for design engineers and freshers joining the organisation.
