Designed for AI and edge use, this platform delivers high speed, large memory, fast expansion, and remote access in one compact system.

As AI workloads, factory automation, and edge data centers grow, system designers face increasing pressure to deliver higher compute performance, stable long-term operation, and reliable remote management in tough industrial environments. Systems must handle heavy processing loads, support continuous operation, manage large data volumes, and remain accessible even when local access is limited.
To address these demands, ASRock Industrial has developed the IMB-X1904, an EATX motherboard based on Intel Xeon 600 processors and the W890 chipset. The platform combines high processing capacity, large memory support, fast expansion, modern I/O, and remote system management in a single industrial-grade design.
IMB-X1904 supports Intel Xeon 600 processors with up to 86 P-cores, enabling high compute performance for AI inference, real-time video analytics, test and measurement, and data-intensive industrial workloads. The design supports continuous operation and parallel processing, making it suitable for demanding edge computing setups.
The motherboard supports up to 2TB of quad-channel ECC DDR5 memory at 5200 MHz using RDIMM and RDIMM-3DS modules. This allows smooth handling of large datasets and complex workloads, while ECC improves system stability and data reliability.
For system expansion, IMB-X1904 provides six PCIe Gen5 x16 slots, one PCIe Gen5 x8 slot, and dual MCIO connectors with PCIe Gen5 x8. This supports GPUs, AI accelerators, high-speed networking, and NVMe expansion for compute-heavy applications.
The I/O configuration includes four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, six USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, three USB 2.0 ports, two COM ports, one VGA port, and four GPIO interfaces. Networking includes two Intel 1G LAN ports, while the IMB-X1904-10G variant adds two Intel 10G LAN ports along with two 1G LAN ports.
Storage support includes two M.2 Key M slots for NVMe SSDs, one with PCIe Gen5 x4 and one with PCIe Gen4 x4, one U.2 port, and eight SATA3 ports with RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10. This enables flexible storage setups for speed and data protection.
An optional AI-M2-OOB-1G module adds hardware-level remote monitoring and control, including remote power control, reset, scheduling, OS heartbeat monitoring, Clear CMOS, and BIOS recovery. A dedicated Ethernet connection also supports Serial-over-LAN and real-time hardware health monitoring, allowing access even when the main OS or network is down.
