With growing demand in space, automotive, and critical infrastructure, these memory solutions provide reliability for mission-critical applications.

Everspin Technologies, Inc. has introduced new MRAM products designed for use in aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. The EM064LX HR and EM128LX HR, part of the PERSYST EMxxLX family, meet the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 standard. These additions address the need for persistent, high-speed memory in challenging environments.
The increase in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite deployments has led to greater demand for memory solutions that endure extreme conditions, including radiation exposure. LEO satellites are becoming critical to infrastructure and connectivity, requiring memory with high-speed performance and durability.
MRAM has been used for nearly twenty years in critical storage applications, offering high endurance and reliability. The PERSYST expansion provides performance for embedded systems:
- Temperature Range: -40°C to +125°C
- Capacities: 64Mb and 128Mb for mission-critical systems
- Interface: Quad SPI for easy integration
- Write Speed: Faster than NOR Flash, reducing system overhead
- Architecture: No erase required, improving system utilization
Engineering samples will be available in June 2025, with full production planned for late 2025. “As embedded systems evolve, memory solutions must support demanding conditions,” said Sanjeev Aggarwal, President and CEO of Everspin Technologies. “The latest PERSYST MRAM provides an alternative to Static RAM or NOR flash, supporting applications in multiple industries.””Everspin’s MRAM has proven effective for space and satellite missions,” said Billy Wahng, Chief Technology Officer of Astro Digital. “The HR version expands the operating range of our systems.”
