AMD has teamed up with ASUS and has introduced the Ryzen Z1 Series processors, which the company claims to be the high-performance processor for handheld PC gaming consoles. According to the press release issued by the company, the processors are compatible with Windows 11 and other operating systems and hence deliver the full breadth of Windows 11 applications and games. The users of these devices will have native access to social and productivity software. This device is designed for gamers. The new series of devices claim to be equipped with smart power management technology that enables seamless gameplay and optimal application performance while maintaining excellent battery life.

The devices have two high-performance processors, offering industry-leading gaming experiences and uncompromising battery life. According to the company’s claim, the processors boast a maximum of 8 cores and 16 threads, providing stunning visuals and amazing battery life for an immersive, high-performance gaming encounter through the efficiency of the “Zen 4” architecture. With built-in graphics, gamers will have the power to play graphically intensive modern games smoothly.

The press release highlights that every processor supports USB4 for fast and easy connectivity for the latest external storage and display devices and delivers fast performance and low latency for more responsive gaming. “With the new Ryzen Z1 Series processors, we’re working with AMD to deliver the power, visuals and efficiency needed to enable a superior portable gaming experience — whether you’re traveling, commuting for work or simply want to game untethered,” said Shawn Yen, product management director of Gaming Business Unit, Asus.
