Vishay Intertechnology, Inc.has announced the release of two new industrial-grade 1 Form A solid-state relays, the VO1401AEFTR and VOR1003M4T, housed in a compact SOP-4 surface-mount package. Designed for demanding industrial applications, these devices deliver continuous load currents of 550 mA and 5 A, respectively, while maintaining load voltages of up to 60 V, isolation voltages of 3750 VRMS, and ultra-low leakage current under 1 µA.

Engineered as a superior alternative to traditional electromechanical relays, the new solid-state solutions offer contactless switching to eliminate issues caused by vibration and mechanical wear. Their high isolation voltage and compact form factor make them suitable for use in industrial automation, security systems, medical devices, and broadcasting equipment, where space efficiency and reliability are critical.

The key features are:

  • Load voltage: 30 V / 60 V
  • Continuous load current: 5 A / 550 mA
  • Isolation voltage: 3750 VRMS
  • Maximum R<sub>ON</sub>: 2.5 Ω

The VO1401AEFTR delivers typical turn-on and turn-off times of 1.3 ms and 0.15 ms, respectively. The VOR1003M4T provides even faster performance with 0.5 ms turn-on and 0.1 ms turn-off times, ensuring swift operation in time-sensitive applications. Both models contribute to improved system efficiency with minimal leakage current, helping ensure the output remains off when required.

The relays offer a space-saving footprint, meeting the growing demand for compact components in densely packed electronic designs. These robust devices are optimized for applications in harsh environments, where high isolation and solid-state reliability are key. Samples and volume production units are available now, with standard lead times of four weeks.
