A startup is redefining home fitness, using AI and computer vision to deliver real-time coaching and personalised health insights—no gym or hardware required.

Most people struggle with guidance, form, and motivation while working out at home. Impakt, founded in 2020 in Silicon Valley, is addressing this by turning smartphones into AI-powered fitness tools that provide real-time coaching and nutrition support without requiring additional hardware.
Winston Zin, CEO and Co-Founder, Impakt, USA, mentions that the platform uses on-device computer vision to track user movements, analyse posture, and deliver instant feedback during exercises like yoga, HIIT, and strength training. It evaluates factors such as joint angles, symmetry, and range of motion, helping users improve form and reduce injury risks. Alongside fitness tracking, the app also integrates nutrition monitoring and generates a “longevity score” to guide overall health decisions.
Impakt also incorporates a content-driven approach, where workouts are automatically converted into shareable videos. Users can distribute these on social platforms and benefit from a built-in affiliate system that rewards engagement and sharing.
The company operates with a compact in-house team across the U.S. and China, leveraging advancements in smartphone processing and AI frameworks to continuously refine its platform. It is also exploring large-scale user acquisition through platforms like WeChat and appearances on shows such as Shark Tank China.
