Position Overview
- In this role, you will be instrumental in designing the power electronics backbone of our products destined for space missions. - As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our product development, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing power electronics hardware and firmware solutions for our next-generation power electronics systems and qualifying it to flight standard.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software engineers, and product managers, to develop robust power supplies that drive the performance and functionality of our innovative products.
Job Description
- Proficient in power electronic hardware and specializing in firmware development.
- Designing Power circuits such as, Flyback, Forward, Half and Full bridge converters, Phase Shift Full-Bridge, Resonant converters, driver circuits, protection circuits, filter circuits, and various DC-DC converter technologies.
- Analog and Digital controller design and implementation.
- Testing design concepts through circuit simulations and prototyping.
- Designing magnetics (transformers and inductors) for various power converter topologies. Experience with planar transformer design will be an added benefit.
- Creating documentation like bills of material, circuit diagrams, simulations, and design-related documentation, including FMEAs.
- Identifying cost-competitive technological alternatives suitable for space application.
Desired Qualification
- M.Tech/ME in Power Electronics with 2+ years of experience
- Understanding of closed-loop control of power converters and compensator design.
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools like PSIM, LTSPICE, SIMULINK.
- Experience managing multiple power electronics projects involving analog electronics, digital electronics, and control circuitry, including firmware development.
- Experience with embedded software, microcontrollers, Digital signal processors, FPGAs, etc.
- Experience with high-speed or high-power semiconductor devices.
- EMI filter design with Product qualification/compliance test experiences.
- Experience with PCB design tools.
- Strong knowledge of component selections and system integration.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience writing technical documents such as hardware requirements, product design specifications, test specifications, and board-level design details.
- Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
