In an interaction with EFY’s Nitisha Dubey, Jayaramu N, from Aimtron Electronics, shares insights into key government initiatives, sector challenges, and the company’s strategic growth and expansion plans.

Q. How have Gujarat government policies supported Aimtron Electronics’ growth and expansion?
A. The Gujarat government’s policies have supported the growth and expansion of the electronics sector through dedicated electronics policies and alignment with central schemes. Projects approved by the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) under the central Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) automatically qualify for dual incentives (central and state) and priority disbursal within 30 days. These incentives support the production of critical components such as multilayer and HDI PCBs, lithium-ion cells, SMD passive components, display and camera modules, electronic parts, and specialised machinery. By integrating with the central ECMS, Gujarat ensures smoother approvals, faster incentive flows, and closer alignment with India’s Make in India and electronics supply-chain initiatives.
Q. Which state incentives or initiatives have been most beneficial for your operations in Gujarat?
- Capital and investment support
- Electronics manufacturing clusters
- Duty waivers, freight support
- Common facilities and logistics
- R&D, innovation, and skill development support
- Job creation and global value chain integration
- Alignment with central schemes
- Uninterrupted and quality power supply to GIDC
Q. How easy is it to find and retain skilled manpower in Gujarat’s electronics ecosystem?
